Review: Product Release One direction LE Make Up Tin

Hello Lovlies,

First and Foremost. Like most women, I love make up. Playing with it, experimenting, you name it. So, I was quite excited to see how these would turn out.

The back of these tins, as all the ingredients, and general information. Let me just say, these tin's are very sturdy and beautifully designed. They are just perfect for a tween.






 I was given three to review. They have 5 tins, one for each member of the band. When opened each case has something different on the inside cover, and the color theme is different. However, the make up in each case is exactly the same.

As you can see, there is blue, pink and purple themes. On the inside cover I really love how they have a make up look with little directions, on which product to use where. Perfect tutorial for a young girl/tween even teenager.


As mentioned the actual make up, and nail polish in each of these    tins is the exact same thing. So, you can purchase one for your daughters favorite band member. Here's what the list includes.

I did use some NYC smooth skin perfecting primer on my hand before swatching.  Though, I don't think that made much of a difference in pigmentation.  These eye shadows are so pigmented, I was quite shocked to be honest.  The lip gloss also carried beautiful pigmentation,and vibrant colors.  The eye shadows applied very smooth, and feel like silk. They also blend very well, for those worried about that.  The only thing that was hard to capture, was the light color of the shimmer gloss top coat, and the lip gloss heart attack, my camera didn't want to pick it up. the gloss is a white/sliver sparkle clear gloss. These are great on anyone with sensitive skin, a lot of lip gloss/sticks actually cause my lips to become quite chapped. These did not. These also stay on quite a while. Without wearing off or smearing. The black eyeliner goes on smooth, and the color shows. I hate when I put eyeliner on my waterline, and it wears off. This does not. 

I wanted to include more pictures where you can see the pigmentation.

I am quite pleased with how well these are made. You can create a number of looks using these. The only thing I might add was. The items that need to be removed from the plastic holder, were a PAIN to remove. Mine really did not want to come out, and I had to use a flat object to pry em out. Also, the lip brush the fibers on it, were easily coming off after one swipe into the lip gloss. So, I wouldn't recommend using that, instead maybe using your own. (ELF makes great tools for just a couple dollars) They're also really little, which for me wasn't the best. I did use them for purposes of swatching, to prove they indeed serve their purpose. The nail polish on these are very vibrant, and wit 2-3 coats, will become opaque. Addtionally I took the plastic packaging out, to see how deep the tins were, they are deep enough that once the makeup is gone, girls can store many different things in here! They also didn't ignore that part of the tin! There is a sticky note that says, I love you! How sweet! 

Over all these tins, would be perfect for a tween. If they love makeup, and you let them wear it. I think they're perfect for them, the colors, pigmentation, and one direction! 

If your daughter loves them, I do believe they will love this too.

I would give this 4 star, or A- review. 

Simply because, irresistible is spelled wrong in each tin, I do think some of the colors are maybe too dark for a tween. (which is the age demographic I believe this to be designed for.) The last reason being that the tools were not only hard to remove, but small, and the brush fibers came off.

Review: Lovely Lashes Eyelash Curler

Hello Lovelies,

Okay, so it is a little difficult for me to write a long review on an eyelash curler, but I'm going to do my best. This is very sturdy, and you can tell it's not cheaply made. With that being said, I've gotten eyelash curlers from the dollar store, that work just as well for me, this one goes above and beyond my expectations, it fits all of my lashes, and even includes the extra silicone pad. I will say I was able to pinch my eyelid with them, but that's probably due to user error. (I'm a little special) They definitely curl my lashes, and leave them looking beautiful.

Review: Dinosaur T-Rex Room Guard with Motion Sensor

Sorry, I am so late getting this review out. This sick has been kicking my butt! Now, with that being said. I had to find a time, where Cami wasn't awake to play with this. As I am going to be giving it to her for Christmas. Now, this is probably the best thing I have gotten to review. My daughter LOVES dinosaurs. I am not kidding, I had to get her a dinosaur cake for her 3rd birthday!


So, on to the dino. This is quite easy to set up. You will need 3 AA batteries to work him, and all you have is 1 screw to remove. (Which is nice, cause if your kid is like mine, she will take off the battery cover) After inserting the batteries, you will hear the dinosaur roar. Just press the button near his tail to make it stop. He comes with three disks, which conveniently can be stored in the compartment on his back. The disks are inserted underneath, near his neck. They project very beautiful images,  you can use the dino's right arm, to focus these images if need be. Or, you can remove the image plate,and use him as a flashlight!

The dino makes 5 realistic roar sounds. The motion sensor in it was pretty spot on, though I will say you do have to be pretty close, id say about a foot maybe a foot and a half, from it to have it go off. When it does though, it is loud! My daughter loves that, though. since this is a motion sensor, you do need to have some kind of light on near the dino, otherwise he will not register that someone is walking by in the pitch black. (Though I wish he did, because I see my daughter leaving this all over the place)

Overall,  this is a fun children's toy, that is easy to set up. They will have fun for hours playing with this. The only other thing I could say, is I wish the images projected could be slightly larger,  they're decent sized when moving the dino back from the wall you have it projected on, but the image quality is not as good.

50 Things to Know About Make-Up and Fashion: Tips from a Makeup Artist Review.

I guess I was hoping for more out of this book, though it did have helpful hints.  However, I feel like this would be better suited for a novice. I feel like the tips from a make up artist, would be more detailed and quite frankly better than some that were given. Some of the better ones were not to wear orange or brown to an interview, or capri pants. Though, I think this would have been better had it had illustrations. If you're explaining how to apply make up, a pictorial would have been perfect. I think by now most know to match their foundation to their skin tone, and to blend it to the neck.  It was an okay book.

Disclaimer on this review: I was going to do a video review for this. However, I am sicker than a dog. I have a ear infection, and sinus infection. Not to mention, a sore throat. So talking right now and getting on camera just isnt going to happen. I may have my sister do a review on video for ya'll.  (She's the pretty one anyway! HA)



So. I don't normally wear mascara,because I am special and either get it everywhere on my eyelids, or it just looks stupid. This one didn't do that, (now I did manage to get it on my eyelid. Cause, I am just that special) I have to say, I really do like this, I read another bloggers review on it, and quite frankly she seems like one of those crazy obsessed yonique lovers. Who absolutely trashed envy derms mascara. WRONG girl. WRONG. Everything she said was false. She sad this mascara didn't dry. Well, it dried for me. Rather quickly actually, I compared this to my Make up Forever foundation. My MUF foundation didn't dry, was clumpy, and came off really easily.  The ED one, didn't. Now, they both stayed on for hours, I will say the MUF one did either stay on longer, or just came off easier hours later. My lashes are fairly long, but because they're mostly blonde its hard to tell. There was NO clumping here. The bottle is AMAZING. I felt like I was buying some really expensive tube of Mascara, and it's actually not that expensive. The only down fall  I will say, is the tube is REALLY tight, so when you pull your brush out or put it back in, you feel like its going to snap, the end is really flexible.  I do prefer a slightly tapered brush, than the round one provided here, but I can get over that.


There isn't really a negative thing to say about this mascara, I do believe the only other color it comes in is brown. So, that might be nice in the future, to offer more colors.  P.S Sorry for the odd lighting in the pics, I am not sure what was going on there.

Compared to MUF, you can't tell much of a difference

Well. There is not a whole lot to say about this. I am happy to say though. I prefer these covers over the plastic ones you stick in the slots. My daughter at a very young age figured out how to remove them, and quite frankly could do it better than I could. With these she who is now almost 4, is having a harder time getting them off. (I bribed her with Halloween candy to try) There is two in a box, and they fit perfectly snug and flat against a regular outlet.  I did notice a HUGE plus on their website. You can PAINT them. They are designed to be painted easily, so you can blend them in to your walls. How neat!  I will say, with my sister having a baby on the way. I am going to stock up on these. Here's another product I was excited to try. I am happy to report, it didn't let me down! First it comes in a beautiful jar. No nasty scents either. It is very mild.  You don't have to use more than a dime sized amount either. It removes all the dead skin, blackheads, and leaves your skin looking beautiful and radiant. Now, don't be an idiot like me, and rub your face heavy handed while using this. It will hurt, and your face will itch! You just need to use gentle circles, all over for 1-2 minutes, and you'll be feeling like your getting 100$ spa treatment. The first two times, I was very heavy handed. Hi,

So,I can't say I was totally in love with this product. It really didn't do much for my hair, keep in mind though I have hair past my butt, and Im short. So it is pretty long, and very healthy.

Not only did this take FOREVER to wash out. (I had to wash my hair twice, and could still feel it)
I hated how it sat on top of my hair, and made it feel oily, and looked greasy. (Keep in mind, this is not meant to be worn it, you use it and wash it out.)
I wish this would have kinda soaked into my hair, like my regular argan oil does. Instead of sitting and coating my hair.

Overall. I can't say I am impressed with this product, but that's my opinion. I am sure it would work wonderful for someone who maybe has dry/brittle hair, and could use some nourishment. For me however, it just wasn't my thing.  It's a good product none the less. :D

Review: PC TattleTale.

So, I was actually pretty excited to be approved for this. I have two young nieces that like to play on the computer, and of course. They need to be monitored. This can't always be done, as I have 3yr old! I had been looking around for a keylogger. Most require some kind of obvious hardware, or have a light that shows your keystrokes are being recorded. Or, you can detect it on the PC. Not this one, it requires its own download to uninstall, you can't detect it whatsoever! It also sends emails every couple hours, with everything in the ORDER it was done. Which is super wonderful. My nieces don't even know! It is very simple and easy to install and understand. I would recommend this over any other out there. Bare in mind though it is a bit pricey!

Review: Power Tek Fire Talon Multi-tool & Head Light

Hey Ya'll,


Today I have fun gadgets for the man, or even woman! Now, I was in the ARMY had have had my fair share of multi-tools, knives, whosists, and whatsits. So, I know what too look for! When I apply to review different items, I tend to only apply for those items I like, or think I can use. This one, sadly was not all I had hoped it to be. That's not saying its bad, or not good, nothing like that. It was just not what I would have liked it to be.


Pros:

• Sturdy Heavy Metal construction.
• Rubber Padding on each hand grip.
• Flashlights on each end are bright.(They stay on, without having to continuously hold down the button too)
• The pliers are easy to open, and use. They are spring action. Quite nice.
• The scissors were sharp, and easy to use as well.
• They fit quite snugly into the nylon carrying case, and has a belt loop on the back. (This can be great or terrible depending on your preference)

Cons:

• Was very heavy, and slightly bulky. (I have little hands, so it was slightly more difficult to grip)
• The knife was not as sharp as I would have liked it to be.
• The tools, are tiny, and hard to open. I had to use another tool just to get them out. I have done this a couple times now, and it still isn't getting easier. I am sure it will though.
• I feel there wasn't enough tools, in this "multi-tool"
• The flashlight, while great I did not like the fact when you go to turn it off, it turns on the other one, thus making you have to press the button multiple times. 
• The flashlight isn't waterproof. Not that It makes a difference to me, but it may to those who camp/hike etc.
• Also, the battery compartment, is difficult to open. I could barely do it with my long fingernails. 

Over All:  I am pretty impressed with this. It wouldn't be my go too though. It is very sturdy, and of a great quality construction. Offers features that others do not have. IE flashlight, and rubberized grips on the handles. For that alone I love it. I  just feel that another tool would better suit my needs.

I was actually really quite impressed with this! There wasn't really anything negative to say.

Pro:

• Three light settings. Very bright, bright, and dim. 
• Red light function, blinking and solid.
• Light tilts into multiple positions.
• Band can be adjusted to fit snugly around the head. Is soft as well.
• Easy to open battery compartment, and easy to operate.
• Looks to be quite durable 

Cons:

• I am afraid, the part where the light tilts, if dropped may break.
• I do not like power tek, being written on the head band so many times. (It's also difficult to tell that's what it says)
• The only other thing I can see being a problem for some, is trying to figure out which buttons to press and how many times for the lights. I have been playing with it for a good while. When I want to press the red one, it seems as if I need to press to one side of the button for solid, and the other for blinking.  (I don't see this being a huge problem, after some playing with)
• I wish the light had a wider area. Its now narrow, but I feel that it would better serve its purpose with a wider coverage.

This is so fun. My friends and I all enjoyed busting a move with this DVD. learning some new dance moves, and pilates. Now, we have all been dancing for a number of years. Though I can not do as much as I used to because my back and my knee, but this is easy on the body. If you like to dance, and want to dance your way to a healthier lifestyle, than this is for you! I am so excited to share this with you all.


I have been a smoker for many years, as well as a daily coffee drinker. So, as you can imagine my teeth weren't exactly white! With that being said, after one application I noticed my teeth starting to become white again, after a second application it was more noticeable, and after the the third. My teeth are no longer yellow, but a not so bright white!  I use this 1-2 times a day, and every time I use it I see better results, this product will last you a good while. The results are there!!! I will say, most of the other reviews I have noticed are people saying it doesn't work because they can't mold the teeth trays. I have crooked teeth, I mean my front two teeth up top make a point. So, if I can mold these trays anyone can. I had to boil water, and let the trays sit in them for more than 5 seconds, I almost melted them, and that's what worked for me. I do have a smaller mouth, so the first time I tried they were uncomfortable because, I didn't get them molded right away. Thus, I had to do what I previously mentioned. I did have some trouble with the light at first, I didn't want to turn off, so I had to take the battery out. I don't have that problem now, the only other thing I would recommend, is a bigger brush, or painting the gel into the trays. Because, It takes a bit of time, getting the gel onto the brush, and onto your teeth. BE prepared to drool! It also does not taste good whatsoever, and it does burn if you get it o your gums, so be very careful about that. I only leave it on for about 20min tops, because I do have sensitive teeth and gums. I would highly recommend getting the remineralization gel to go with this. It's minty, and makes your mouth feel wonderful afterwards.
